why is life so boring!

Don't get a moped... Get a proper mountain bike. It'll be fun, allow you to meet more people if you get into it and more importantly... It'll stop you riding around on a moped like a wee ned.

Yeah get a mountain bike. Way more fun than traffic jams, car drivers, traffic lights and being limited to 30 mph!

I'm sure the OP and his "mates" with their "perfect spacial awareness" could get a right kick out of tooning down a red or black downhill run...

They probably think cycling is gay or not cool or something... :D :p

life is so boring at the moment, there is nothing to do whatsoever!
no one rings me anymore because there all on the peds and im not 16 yet and when i am 16 its in june so im torn between an upgrade or a ped:rolleyes:

there is just nothing to do! anybody else feel the same?

Aren't you the animated phallus that turned up the other week bragging about destroying computers at school?

Pardon my lack of sympathy at your boredom.

ped= moped, scooter, bike, crosser so on not just nasty chav mobiles, basically anything with 2 wheels and is 50cc
there is nothing to do because all of my friends are out on there mopeds id you like and don't bother ringing me because there is no way i can keep up with them.

by upgrading i meant by upgrading my computer, not a ped.

no people don't tend to kick a football around all to often when there the age of 16+

Speaking from long experience, spend the money on having fun and being social, not on your PC. Spending big money on a PC is basically committing yourself to staying inside the house using it while everyone is out having fun. Not to mention the risk of giving yourself RSI at a young age, which really does cause problems later on. Get the moped, in the long run you will thank yourself for it, especially come Summer.

so glad i had my teens in the 90's, We was always out playing football, on our bikes, shooting coke cans with air rifles :D etc Today its all facebook and iphones, no imagination :(

The best comment in this thread!

Go out, do more different things with friends, family, yourself.

End of line.

been playing footy down the astro turf, today rang up my PED friends and got them down there, i really think most people here misunderstood my post and seen it as really depressing?
was just being angst i guess :p

i didn't say there was anything wrong with going cinema with my parents? drove my friends PED down the private road thingy at the back of his house today, DO WANT!

Get one and enjoy yourself because it won't be long before you've got a car and become a real danger like every other 17 to 25 year old.
At least on a Ped you'll bounce off somebody and can only go about 10mph.

Tip of the day.

It's spelt "their". Possessive. E.g their moped.

There refers to a direction or location. E.g. Over there by the tree.

I completely agree! However, its a bit sad that I looked for the 'LIKE THIS' button before I realised that I have to click the 'QUOTE' button!

 I've been converted to Facebook. ARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!! :(

Ah to be young dumb and full of....boredom. Get a lovely looking young lass to call your girlfriend and all that boredom will disolve away making room for all the fights/shouting matches and general unhappiness. But hey it beats being bored

I can see the OP's Point of View on this. At that age you're too young to go to the pub etc but too old to do the things you would have normally done. There is a lot of social pressure as well, to be a certain way or to act older at a younger age, such as people drinking at young ages (Although it is fun :p ) There's also the issue of how teenagers are perceived by the public, we aren't all dressing in hoodies stealing things from old ladies or destroying things.

I would have to recommend the OP gets a push bike, they don't cost as much, can go on paths and are great fun. A few of my friends have mopeds and the sounds that they make are awful- they're also very dangerous. I saw a guy getting hit by a car whilst he was on his moped a couple of weeks ago.

There is also a big lack of things to do for teenagers. The place I used to have band practice at and skate at was shutdown, parks are becoming buildings and there aren't any Youth Clubs or anything exciting to do. Joining a band is definately a fun thing to do. There are also so many rules and regulations around riding push bikes or skateboards now. A few of my friends have recieved numerous tickets from the police for doing so.

Going a few mph down a tarmac'd road isn't exciting it is dull. Plus on a moped you just look like an idiot and annoy everybody in the vicinity with that god damn awful whine the so called "engine" makes.

Even at 10mph hitting somebody's going to hurt that person a lot. I've been around when gangs of youths on mopeds have been careening around annoying people. They're a threat to the safety of pedestrians.

However like you say they then go on to become a threat to everybody when they get cars...

.

I recommended this as well but he chose to ignore my suggestion. Anyway cycling is better than a moped in my opinion. As long as he doesn't do that annoying thing I see a lot of youths doing and cycling on the pavement.

Oh and getting hit by a car hurts equally as much if you are on a pushbike.
