That would be illegal. They are limited to no more than 50kph or 31mph.

Devious post. I'm as fast as a moped on my road bicycle. A lot fitter and less out of pocket too! :)

:D i was thinking of a push bike, but i still wouldn't be able to keep up with my friends if we decided to go somewhere further than 10 miles or so because i wouldn't have the energy to keep up at the pace for such a distance
 
Then ride your bike lots. You will get fitter, and keeping up with your friends on mopeds won't be a problem.
I could beat a moped to college any day at 9 in the morning on my mountain bike I was given free.

:p im not unfit, but i would rather spend an extra £500 or so on something motorized because im just lazier and for me it's easier and more enjoyable:p
 
Don't forget that you will have fuel, tax, insurance, mot and tests to pay! I have a cheap fixed wheel bike that I use to get around when the weather is nice because using the car is too much effort!
