I don't understand what resolution im playing at with my PS4 pro. From what i've read the PS4 pro is 1080p or 4K and 1440p is not supported, but.. according to my Pro its outputting 3840x2160p HDC P2.2?
I can't enable super sampling because it thinks its higher than 2k. The image quality is great however if i switch to 1080p or use a older Hdmi cable to enable super sampling you can tell the image quality is worse.

Any ideas what's going on here?

which screen is it? some of them have a "virtual 4K" mode nowadays to allow 4K input for consoles. for the exact reason you've stated where 1440p is not a resolution available. that way you can input a higher res and have the screen scale it back down, as opposed to having to input 1080p and have the screen scale it up :)
