Why is my broadband still connected?

I cancelled my Orange broadband last month and they said it would disconnect on the 12th and the line would be clear by the 17th for my new ISP.

Why would I still be able to connect?

I've cancelled my Direct Debit just in case...

Why would you go through a complete cease and reprovide when you could get a MAC key and transfer to a new ISP completely seamlessly?

That aside, only way to find out is to ring Orange again. Cancelling the DD is probably a good move.

Because Orange's LLU is not compatible with the next service? :p

No it was a 'genuine mistake' by Orange which meant I didn't get disconnected. Funny how that happened the same way with my mobile number damn them. Good riddance I say
