Why is my bus speed reduced to 99.98MHz when I set XMP timings?

Hello,

wasn't sure which section to start this thread, so I apologise if it's wrong.

I fully well understand that this is such a small difference, I shouldn't worry about it, but it's still something I'd like to have explained.

To start with this is the setup:
Rampage IV Black Edition
i7-4930K
16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum (CMD16GX3M4A1866C9)

Basically the problem is, whenever I apply the XMP profile or enter the the timings myself manually, the bus speed is always reduced to 99.98MHz. I had this issue with an old Kingston kit, and assumed I should opt for RAM on the QVL.

I see a lot of people who own 4930Ks with a 100MHz bus, so it kinda troubles me. Am I doing something wrong?

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could explain to me what's happening in layman words.

I have a similar issue with the same system except for this ram: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance (CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10) , mine is set to 125MHz and it fluctuates from 124.96-125MHz which also fluctuates the memory frequency from 999.7-1000MHz.

There is no issue at all here. BLK is clock gen and that is nothing to do with memory speed.

Dont worry use the rig.
