please someone help me i just spend hours with my pc cleaning it up. replacing cpu cooler fans and graphics cards and reapplying thermal compound. I had some serious trouble resetting the heatsink and in doing so some of the compound went on the side of the motherboard and around the cpu socket. i used a cotten bud to try and remove some of it. and eventually seated the heatsink.but it was a painfull job. yet after all this my temps are like 45 at idel at 5-7% load..what have i done wrong? this dosent seem normal. could i of installed the fans the wrong way around?i have it so the radiator is in the roof of my pc with the fans screwd under it. and corsaiir logo is on the fans. Im lost.

the cpu is an i5 3570k only overclocked to 4ghz
and cpu cooler is a corsair H100i v2.. i swear i should not be having temps this high.

the thermal compound i used was thermal grizely. and i applyd it by applying a blob a little bigger then a pea size in the middle.

can someone help me?

If the paste is coming out of the sides you've probably used too much. I believe the recommendation these days is to use a ball bearing size amount.

Did you clean off the original thermal paste?

Checked the H100i's pump speed is correct?

What were the temps like before you reseated the cooler?
