I was considering overclocking and was doing some reading on the subject. I downloaded Prime95 and ran a test only to find that cpu-z indicated the processor is running at 4326 MHz.

I'm not overclocked at all, and am at the stock 3.3ghz. I'm kind of surprised because I read elsewhere that the processor should only go up to about 3.7ghz.

My intention was to overclock to about 4.2 ghz and no higher due to power consumption but is this not necessary as the processor can already achieve these speeds?

Thanks,
Ultrimo
