Why is my net doing this?

I'm having a bit of a weird problem with my internet atm. I can connect to game servers with a ping of 20-25, ventrilo works fine, but Shot-Online, IRC, KartRider, etc are outrageously slow, or won't work at all. Shot-Online says "disconnected from server", and IRC's ping reply is:

20:26pm Dazza replies to ctcp: PING 10.476 second(s)

Something really isn't right there. Any ideas what the problem is or how to fix it? TIA

Im getting similar.

Tried to play BF2 and I am getting a Ping of over 400 and so they are kicking me off all the time.

have you done a trace route to see where your packets are going?
