Why is my super lanboy so loud??

Hi,

My PC is REALLY loud :eek:

and I cant seem to find why, here's my specs:

-Pentium D [email protected] w/ CM hyper48
-X1800XL w/ Arctic X2 cooler
-Hiper Type-R 580w modular
-Antec Super lanboy case with 2 low speed 120 mm fans

Is it the case fans that are so loud, they are running at low speed though. But if I need new case fans what brand shall i get?

-Akasa Amber 120mm?
-Vantec Stealth 120mm?
-Zalman ZM-F3 120mm?

Any help would be greatly apreciated

Hiper PSU's make an awful lot of noise, running one in my S80 at the moment and it is terrible.

That would be my first port of call, unless the noise is HDD related?

I guess I wish I got that Tagan PSU!! Apart from PSU anything I can do make it quieter?

Check all fans by stopping them one by one, briefly. Could be the PSU fan or anyone in the case.

Mines pretty quiet, but when my xtx fires up to full load its like an aeroplane taking off

Thanks for the help its the PSU and the fans, not much I can do about the PSU. Very tempted to open it up and change the fans but dont want to void the warranty

I have a Seasonic PSU and i cannot hear it at all. Awesome PSU. As for case fans, i don't use them. Nexus make some good ones though.
