Hey guys.

I am not new to computers but this one has me stumped (maybe its something obvious that I have missed)

My system is running abnormally slow and freezing a lot (not crashing just temporary hanging to catch up)

I have been into MSconfig and there are not many things running just the usual, anti Virus, Nvidia and sound card stuff.

I have a few games installed but not too many, I have lots of HDD space free too.

I tried Ccleaner to clean up the registry for me.

The last install was about 3-4 months ago so not too old really, I havn't done anything for it to be come slow it just seems to be getting slower, the system itself is about 6 months old.

Specs are

I7 3770k OC to 4.2ghz
32GB ram (Corsair dominator)
2 x GTX660 In SLI
MSI GD65 Mobo (z77)
2x Corsair GT SSD in raid 0
2 x 1tb hdd in raid 0 for storage
Cosair 650Watt PSU
Watercooled CPU & GPUs

All help is much appeciated

Craig

Wild guess is faulty memory? Try with 16gb or 8gb see what happens? ;)

Do a low level memory test, and also check your CPU is not throttling.
Also check PSU and connections and that all components are seated correctly.

Try with one graphics card.

Other than that dodgey motherboard! :(

Quick edit:

Check your raid configuration and check your SSDs and Mechs for errors.

Thanks guys.

Temps seem okay, Maybe a little higher than 'ideal' but nothing silly.

What would you recommend to use to check my SSD & HDD for errors?

Memtest
Eventviewer to check for hard drive errors

The way to use event viewer..(Windows Vista/7/8)

Windows logs
>System

Click Filter current log.

Select 'Event Sources', then click 'disk, Disk', click OK

It will have every problem ever recorded for hard drives
