Why is OcUK the only site that works?

OK this is probably because the router is a piece of **** but at the moment these forums and the shop are the only website I can access or anyone in the house for that matter.


Can log into MSN fine and images on here as well, but Facebook, BBC News, Sky News, any where just doesn't load up.


Reset the router its the same, I set up the connection again earlier on and it's still happening.


Everything else will load up fine for about 10-15 mins after resetting the router but then everything just stops.


Can anyone help?

I had that problem last night. I Couldn't get onto Sky Sports, Google, YouTube and the Edimax website, everything else was fine.

Could be your ISP's DNS servers having a bad day.

Try putting OpenDNS' servers into your router and see if that fixes things:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

Also a good idea to disable/enable the network interface in control panel to make sure all the old settings are flushed out and renewed correctly.

If that doesn't change things then the problem could be a routing issue within your ISP, a few weeks back VM lost connectivity to a large amount of sites hosted in the US because of a failed bit of fibre.

OcUK.backdoor-trojan. Sets your localhost file to reference on the OcUK store and forums, it's a cunning marketing ploy I'll give them that.
