Hey!

So I waited and waited for CNC3...

And I dont really have the desire to keep playing it.

Yet, I've been playing RA2 : YR since 2002! Ok, so I stopped playing from say 2003-late 2005 because it was abandoned before XWIS took over and restored online play.

For some reason I never get fed up with, it's just so pick up and playable, be it online quick matches, or FFG's.

I own every single C&C game to date, but YR is the best ever IMO, it is clearly the best game I've ever played on any console/pc to date.

I liked Generals, but again, it is like CNC3 in the way it doesnt entice you back.

Never liked any other RTS, tried SC, COH, DOW, nothing comes close to YR IMO.

Don't get me wrong, I play other games like BF2, CS:S but overall, YR is the most played for me!

Anyone else like it as much?

I loved Yuri's Revenge!

I first saw the game when I went around a friends house and he was playing against someone he knew online, then he let me have a go and it was incredible! I used to like playing as Yuri and making loads of Brutes because they said "I will break you!" :D
I haven't played it for a few years now, maybe I'll find the disc after I've slept and have a go again :)

The only other RTS games I liked were Age of Empires 1 and 2, but the third wasn't as good, Black and White and Warcraft 3, which I could play online for literally days at a time. I haven't really found any other games which match those.

Does YR run on vista?

I bought TFD apparantly it does work on Vista, but reading on google some people have issues.

Im sure it can be run in compatibility mode though.

Ah yeah, The First Decade, I bought that only because my Yuri's Revenge disc was broken so I couldn't play it :D

My personal favorites were the infantry who could create their own little sandbag fort :D was only the 'good' side i seem to remember.

Was also the first strategy game i played that allowed you to garrison troops in buildings, i love playing the town maps and turning the whole place into a fort.

I don't think the orignial 2D C&C games will ever get to a point where they are concicered rubbish / too old :) They are classics, and worth playing again! Just actually finished playing Red Alert 2 not long ago, probably my favourite one :D

My favourite unit was those little guys with the railguns :)

Yeah Love Tib Sun and RA2.
