Hi.
On saturday i went up town and went into 10 places, including 2 large computer game shops, 3 supermarkets, 2 music/dvd/game shops, a magazine/dvd shop & 2 electrical stores looking for Resident Evil 4: Wii edition. All of them were well known/big name stores.
No where sold it, or even had place holders for it on the shelves.
Yesterday i went into another music shop, another magazine shop and a DVD/music/game shop somewhere else. Only the latter place had it, and only just.

Why is it not on sale anywhere?
Its confusing why a game thats doing very well in sales isnt being sold at the majority of places that ive been to buy it.
Its very odd..

Bought mine from t'internet for £24.99, went on holiday the next day for the weekend, it was waiting for me when I came home, played it 3 days straight and finished it in 24hours playtime on normal mode. :) Awesome game, my wii is finally getting some good use!! :D

Was sold out everywhere in Bristol the other day.
I wonder if they have had some sort of distribution issues or something? Very unusual to see a title sell out these days.

Yep, I work in a competitor shop and its a nightmare getting stock from ninty.

It is a great game, maybe its proving to be popular?

EDIT:

It is currently NUMBER 1 in the Wii Chart:
http://www.elspa.com/?c=/charts/uk.jsp&ct=39

And is number 5 in the all format charts.. Above Forza 2 :)

Taking into account that top 5 consists of 2 movie licenses which traditionally sell well, even if they are poo and Brain Training, it makes the number 5 slot look even better.

To all the people who slate the Wii.. I'd say thats not bad for a "PORT" - LOL

I'm so tempted to get a Wii recently!

There are some great titles in the offering:

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Ghost Squad
Mario Strikers
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games
Mario Kart Wii

The Wii Zapper looks great.

I'll admit, a few months after launch, I was a little disapointed... BUT NO MORE.

Had tonnes over in Trafford Centre when i was there last week. £29.99 too, bro bought a copy, worked out at £26.99 with student discount! Bargalicious.

I was seriously toying with the idea of getting this; the only thing putting me off is I have never played any of the other parts (my bad I know :p although I have seen the two films but I doubt that counts).

Will it make much sense story wise if I do get it?

I played the resident evil with jill valentine for all of 5 minutes, cant even remember which that was. Other than that i've played none of them apart from this, and I absolutely love it. If you have any doubts that you'll enjoy the game because you haven't played others, forget them and buy the game, you won't regret it, I certainly didn't! :)

Yes, it's a story in its own right.

However... I really recommend you play ALL of the Resident Evil games,
1, 2, 3, CV, 0, 4.
It's one hell of a franchise. Resident Evil 4 is a lot different from the others though. Pick Resident Evil (1) up and play that first (on the GameCube). Great game.

The movies are an abomination, for some reason they came up with their own 'hollywood' stories instead of just following the tried and tested (& extremely popular) video game stories. Go and buy some today, they are dirt cheap now!

I thought the first film was very good. Had little to do with the game but was still a good film in its own right.

For those who havent played the other though then you are seriously missing out. No 2 was absolutely superb (probably the best storyline) and i also really liked Code Veronica.

^^yeah, you've got to play them all, and prefrebly in order. The RE series is one of my fave game series ever, i have recently gone threw then all again and res 2 is still my fave game to this day :)

I agree about the movies also nokkon, they ruined what could have been a good series of movies if they had stayed more faithfull to the games :(

Roll On RE5!

Haven't you just answered your own question

"It's confusing why a game that's doing very well in the sales"

Now wonder why you can't find it anywhere?

EDIT: Why the hell did I just buy Mario Strikers and Godfather Black Hand edition , now I've got to play them to death before I buy RES4

Oh, and SSX to complete.

:o
