Why is the UK not religious anymore?

Why do you think the UK and Europe in general is hardly religious at all anymore but America is still very religious?

I would argue that the UK is indeed still religious but Christianity has been replaced with the secular religion of Equality (political correctness or whatever you wish to call it). The state is the equivalent of God and politicians and celebrities are the clergy. The state is expected to take care of every detail of your life, and politicians/celebrities are wise sages who interpret how how the world works and how it should work. TV has replaced the pulpit. Scientists are a lower-clergy subordinate to the state/TV clergy. If one of them accidentally says something in conflict with God's word (like Nobel laureate James Watson) he is excommunicated and cast out in to the wilderness.

The religion rests on the simple premise that everyone is 100% equal. However there is as much science to support this principle as there is to support Christianity. "Fairness" (godlyness) is exalted above all else.

Heave is some mystical land where every square mile of earth has exactly the same ethnic diversity as every other square mile of earth. There wonderful paradise is free of poverty and hate and racism (and white heterosexual males and rich people). Everyone is equal and everything is fair and the State smiles down upon us all as we sing culturally diverse songs and snuggle unicorns.

Hell is America.

Anyone who questions this religion is a racist (heretic) or a nazi (witch), or just plain stupid and ignorant, and should obviously be committed to a mental institution or prison for re-education.

And with that I have described the religious beliefs of GD and the UK in general.

Discuss.

I understand completely what you're trying to say.

However.

1) You could have put it across much better and in a way that may stimulate discussion.

2) We all already know.

No they're not mutually exclusive I'm afraid - you'll find both theists and atheists/agnostics who across all parts of the political spectrum and being both pro and anti multiculturalism and any other PC-esq stereotypes you want to pull out of your hat.

From a biblical point of view we are possibly under the judgement of God from a secular point of view there are probably people in power that are turning us away from church, philosophers, other social architects, Dawkins etc. It's legalism Vs. Spirituality.

Ultra legalists like feminists and various other activists, probably even unionists don't help as new restrictive and soulless laws have to be created for their needs creating the whole legalistic paranoid untrusting culture we have. People who want to be free from the binds of conscience will go against the church and the more money there is to be made now doesn't help.

Very unnspiritual country.

I dont beleive in religion, i look at the americans with their high religion and cannot understand how people with pretty smart jobs such as doctors and so forth can go on about god that much as though they have been brainwashed, but thats just my personal opinion. I personally think you have to be pretty weak and impresionable to believe in a faith system that if backed purely by the fact it cannot be disproven.

Im sceptical about a lot in this video but its worth watching anyways
