Just a curiosity really, there is a pattern along the walls in a room we are stripping the paper from.

Why?

Did people not paper or paint walls in the past?

Seen stuff like that before but never stopped to think about - just kind of assumed it has transferred off previous decorations in some manner but that is probably wrong.

Dreading having to scrape the wallpaper off here and replace it as the plaster underneath is in a poor state and will probably result in quite a bit of underlying damage and extensive reworking of the walls :s

people have papered and painted walls for quite some time :p

must have been some stick on design thing that doesn't come off as easy as the paint

a stencil type thing maybe?

Do you experience feelings of dread in your basement or attic?
Have you or your family ever seen a spook, spectre or ghost?
If the answer is “yes,” then don’t wait another minute. Pick up the phone and call the professionals…
