Why is this RAM so cheap?

A competitor is selling a Corsair 32gb DDR5 6000mhz CAS 30 kit for £100 and I’m suspicious of the pricing since every other kit with these specs from most other brands is considerably more expensive (as far as i can tell) and the CAS 36 version is only £5 cheaper. I’m just wondering if it might be cheap because it’s using cheap components or something.

Thanks.

Its not cheap, just other shops are more expensive

Corsair 96GB DDR5 6400mhz CAS32 kits are now £260 at some places. Corsair seems to be pushing for market share as its normally one of the first to bring the new density/speed kits at relatively good prices. Black Friday should be good for DDR5 upgrades.

Almost makes me tempted to try buying another 2 sticks to get 64GB. Probably not worth it though.

To answer the OP though prices for RAM have just dropped a lot, and that competitor in question(assuming were talking about the same one) is actually the base for Corsair in the UK. Whenever I've had to RMA my Corsair mouse(not using their mice anymore becuase I've had to do it enough times...), I had to send it to one of their addresses. Recognised it from when I had to RMA something at that competitor. I assume they've got a partnership/agreement which could also mean they can sell their products for cheaper than other retailers.

Edit: Just checked the label they sent for the corsair RMA return since it was only a month or two ago and it actually even said the retailers name in question.
