why is this so cheap?

Seems normal to me. You can pick up an Acer or Morai for £140. They are all the same basic TN panel without overdrive. Don't forget TN panels are as cheap as they come but that's all you can get in 22" size.

Look at 20" panels, there are many non-TN panels selling for in excess of £300.00

You get what you pay IMO

oh ok fair enough. Just it would like a lot to pay an extra £60 just to get 2ms response of the more expensive 22" screens.

Im after a new screen and I think I'll just go for a 24" dell.

4 year warranty, killer screen and loads of options are well worth the premium imo.

it doesn't have a DVI connection...monitors without DVI connection always seem to be cheaper.

Because our **** crap government decided that any monitor with a dvi input is capable of been used as a tv and is subject to 14% tax.

Therefore on a £200 monitor, the non dvi monitor will be £28 cheaper even if everything else is the same quality.

But the good news is anologue has come on leaps and bounds and with most monitors you can't tell the difference. Also a lot of reviews have stated that with monitors with just an anoluge input, they more more of an effort with the electronics for converting it.
