I just rang my friend who will be building the rig and he said am a fool because i should wait for the AMD 300 series. Are they really going to be as good as the rumours suggest??

I would probably wait, £320 is a lot for a 290X at this stage.

My PC is for rendering,Minecraft and skyrim with lots of mods. I do also play fallout 3 with mods aswell

I'd hold on if you can. No one knows what the 300 series will be like but if you can hold off it's better to do so, or you may get buyers remorse in a couple of months.

Either that or wait until the 390X is on sale again.

Explains the spec, PSU may be a tad overkill unless you want multi-GPU in the future?

However, with the 300 series being very close I'd wait and see what comes along, unless you need this PC right now?

Computex 2015 is in June so not long to wait. I would never run SLI unless i knew how to build a rig by myself

I know stulid the build is perfect for me!! but if the 300 series is 40% to 50% better I think I have to wait even though its a rumour. I would be upset with myself because after reading about it AMD and AIB are just clearing stocks. I have no idea who AIB!

You'd want a 4gig minimum graphics card for modded skyrim or Fallout 3 You can get a 290x for cheaper than your price you put up

8 gig version for £320

I dunno if modded skyrim is worth the outlay for an 8 gig card though.

For fallout 3 the 4GB is fine, when it comes to Skyrim i 100% need more VRAM. I am not a computer wizard but i know Skyrim use a lot of vram

4GB will be fine for Skyrim modded, I manage with 2GB just fine.
