I've been with 3 for donkeys now, was thinking of getting a new contract with a new phone. I was looking at the S10+ and for me (apparently special customer if u login via the 3 app) it costs £49 a month plus £79 upfront. 30gb plus unlimited calls/text (or unlimited data for same price)

Now, if I go via uswitch it costs £39 per month and £29 upfront. 100gb data, unlimited calls/texts.

I know I can get the uswitch deal then cancel my current sim only and change the PAC over but I dont want to as I dont want to miss any calls as this number is used for business.

Very annoying.

Just call Three and tell them about the uSwitch deal, they matched it when I did it for my dad recently.

Tried a while ago, "this service is now closed" limited bla bla bla. I'l try tomorrow via there app.

Been on the phone with them for 40 minutes and he keeps giving me "special offers" which is the same as the website standard deal....

I don't think he actually understands any English, he can just speak it like a parrot.

5 more minutes and I'll cut it off and try there chat thing via the app..

I ditched them over a year ago when the loyalty offers on the website and customer portal were worse than those available for new Sim only deals. That sort of thing really annoys me so I cancelled the whole family's and swapped them over to GiffGaff. No regrets.

After 1 hour and 8 minutes on the phone he finally managed to match the uSwitch offer...

Too late for B&W now, but if anyone else is interested, then Quidco is similar. There is no need to phone up a cancellations / retentions line as Quidco does the cancelling for you. You sign up to the new provider while Quidco is still active, telling the new provider what your old phone number is. Then you text PAC to 65075 to start transferring your number over. Plus, you get cashback :-) I got given £100 for changing internet providers and £85 for changing phone providers. Do it once a year for free money.

Quidco all adds up in the end, I finally used the £600 quid I had stored up to buy a nice new 55" samsung tv and decent sound bar for the bedroom. All paid for from home/car insurance and various subscriptions/ phone contracts along the way.
