I have a Vista Home Premium laptop, which I've Window Updated over and over, and shows no sign of having SP1 or SP2.

Yet I have a Vista Home Premium desktop (64 bit) which is SP2?

Why isn't the laptop automatically updating to SP1 and then SP2?

I know this might sound silly, but it doesnt already have it, you're sure?

If its still not appearing, I'd guess somethings been stopped which might be considered a requirement for the update, or alternatively something might be flagging as incompatible.

Worst comes to worst you can download the standalone updater.

It certainly isn't showing SP1 or SP2 in the Vista version. Also in the list of updates, there is no hint of a service pack.

I've downloaded SP1 and running it now!

I had the same thing with an old Vista laptop and desktop I re-installed last week.

The desktop wouldn't pick up the SP2 and the laptop non at all.

I ended up downloading both of them and installing manually.
