As the title say, when i make a manual system restore it stilll gets deleted after a couple of days! Is there anyway you can keep one permantly? I'm surpride there isn't an option to do this.
Can you copy it somehow to make a backup?
I know you can change the size of your drive you want to reserve for system restore and weather you want it on or off, but googleing there seems no option to permantly save.
I would like a system restore of when i do a fresh install on my SSD with all drivers etc installed
Thanks

System restore is kind of a differential log of changes, it's not really something you could export. If you want a reliable snapshot of your fresh install then just do an image based backup.

Hi mate thanks for the answer, i take it windows can't do an image or can it? or willl i need 3rd party software?
Thanks

If you're using 7, click start, type 'backup' and use backup & restore.

Create a system repair disc, you'll need this should you want to restore the image to your machine.

A good alternative is Macrium Reflect. I use the fully paid version, free version is great too
