The ******* Son & The Devil Himself on Netflix is so good, but just 1 season & cancelled, no one knows why Netflix canceled it, great fan base & no $$ issues. No reason*s) given online. It starts out great, so no slow start. I would really love to keep watching it.

They'll do series after series of inane nonsense or constantly greenlight another serial killer adapation/documentary but anything of actual substance or interest seems to get killed off.

Viewers, everything is made and destroyed based off algorithm.

True but Netflix have made a rod for their own back. They kept cancelling well reviewed and liked series so people, myself included, won't start a Netflix show until season 2, or even season 3, has been confirmed. So numbers are low on new shows which they then cancel only further enforcing opinion that there's no point watching new shows on Netflix as they'll just get cancelled.

I think its going to cause them big problems down the line. People will stop getting invested or hyped to watch their latest show because they can just, and have, cancel at any time. So more people, myself included, are more apprehensive at watching shows on Netflix because what is the point in getting invested in a show for it not to have a conclusion?

This is what the online content streaming services do. Get everyone interested and if they think it's not a money maker they cancel the show.

Not a thing anyone can do about it except complain more.

Nothing specific to streaming services, it was no different from traditional US networks. Often things would get cancelled only to turn out to be huge cult hits, or popular after the decision was already made to cancel though.

If the viewer is lucky another network picks up the show in time for there to be a proper continuation of it. Netflix for example picked up Cobra Kai, and Lucifer (not a show I'm a fan of).

Slowly becoming the Fox network of streaming services.

Juat wish they would stop, man that was a good show. So annoying, we can find no reason given online for this. Did find something online saying it was the best show, they are nuts.

They cancel the good stuff, and renew the **** stuff like the tv series You, Sex/Life series and make sequels to average/crap movies like Murder Mystery. Honestly Netflix has some good stuff, but 85% of the content is absolute dross.

I used to sub for lengthy spells to Netflix, but lately I sub perhaps 2 or 3 months max a year now. I find other streaming services a lot better.
