Why no decent bike games?

How come they don't make any decent bike racing games? Something like the TT isle of Man Racing. Motor Cross racing. Or even city racing or country racing.

Personally I think a bike game would be a lot more fun than your normal car racing game.

Shame, I think they are missing a really good opportunity to make a great game.

Probably because most of the time bike racing doesn't translate well to video games, and aren't really that popular.

There's always the Moto GP series, but I'm not sure about availability on the PC. Console, maybe?

Moto GP 07 is due out on the PC. There are no bike racing simulators as such, because that would just be impossible without a seat that leans ;). But there are quite a few decent bike racing games around. I'm sure there was a thread about this not too long ago...

Need a Tour De France game, actually takes three weeks to finish. You have all the problems with stamina and weather / road conditions. Full course with full detail, each stage full distance. Could also have a USB bike that you can ride and do it properly.

Ok i'll shut up now :p

That is a very good idea! You can buy exercise bikes, but for good reason people find them very boring. But an exercise bike you plug in and play on your PC. You could have people racing their previous ghosts. Or doing a tour of a city. Or a mountain range. Or a coastal range.

Hmmmm.... Very niche, but probably very profitable if done properly (like selling to Gyms and so forth...)

If you go looking around the net at gadget freak sites there are already exercise bikes with scrolling scenery that give you the impression of actually going somewhere.

But taking the idea and making a game out of it would be fantastic and as was already posted there are enthusiasts all over the world that would pay big money to race in a virtual TDF.

Throw in online multilayer so you can setup races with people from around the world and you would definitely be on a winner.

Moto GP2 and 3 had quite big online followings, i was always able to find a game when i used to play them.

Had some cracking multiplayer races with the GP3 demo with the OcUK collective. :D

Can't find any official word on it, but there's mention of it in a preview here, and it's also available for pre-order at at least two major online retailers.

There are quite a few out but putting it bluntly there all pretty crap lol, the gyro is the worst on 90% of them to put anyone off, even more so if you ride a bike yourself and think What The Hell where they thinking, imo the best riding game ive played on PC was Motorcross Madness 2 lol awesome game, and they got the gyro really well aswell shame they aint made anymore, i didnt get on well with motogp on pc even with an xbox controller but got mogogp06 on 360 and is much better than pc version, but as said motogp07 is out soon hopefully there are some improvements

Tried MX vs. ATV? Also known as the spiritual successor to MCM2 :).

mx v atv is a quailty game hours of fun with some added challenges is rather good tbh, hafve played it at several lans now and always a entertainer.

but im waiting for moto gp 07 in the summer i believe it is just so i can show that number 46 bike who is the daddy really.

I remember whipping my uncle's ass at MCM2 when i was like 12 or something, and the best part was that he actually did motocross, and he had a joypad (I was on KB)
