why no remote ?

having just bought my first lcd monitor ( primarilly for pc ) .... 2408 wfp its got me thinking.......

why isnt the a remote control with this thing ? i'm paying 400 notes and 0 remote i use it for my hd dvd player as well so will be switching back and forth a lot.... surely thats askign for the source button to get knackered fairly quickly ??

Because no monitors (that I have ever seen), however much you pay for them, come with a remote. They are monitors, i.e., meant to be used fairly close up (within arm reach certainly).

Years ago I had a iiyama 21" CRT that had a remote control, and a motorised base. It was a thing of beauty.
