Why not a 32" LCD instead of 27" TFT?

I fancy a third display, it'll be primarily something for iPlayer, Blu-rays and using Access/Outlook etc (text looking decent is important). No gaming or image editing is required for this one.

So instead of a £280 27" or a £1200 30" monitor, what about something like a LG 32LH3000 for £330ish? I understand it's only 1920x1080, but apart from that, and considering the reviews it gets, what am or will I be missing?

absolutely nothing really, the tv outputs at 1080p which is the same as bluray, monitors are usually a bit sharper, but u dont need the extra res for what u r doing, so you will gain nothing.
