Why not alphabetical?

I didn't know where to post, so I am sorry, but the website, is there a reason nothing is ordered alphabetically? I always have difficulties finding stuff ( I know I am not the only one) while alphabetical ordering salves this problem .

I am talking about the "
Product Categories"
; components, systems etc.

just wondering

Power supplies - as all other components can be found though at least 3 menu systems the easiest here...




you don't even need to click on the menu just hover over it.
 
I don't find it all that difficult but perhaps that is because I've used this system since its incarnation and also the previous one. I don't know for certain but I'd guess that Helios1234 is largely correct or at least it is organised in the order that people will think of components (aside from graphics cards which is a bit odd).
 
Look at the groupings.

People tend to buy a PSU and case at the same time, RAM and Mobo etc.

This is why they are grouped in this way. :)

wow never noticed that :p but tbh i agree with OP internet users in general are used to looking through lists in alphabetical order (according to Jakob Nielsen anyway).
