Would someone please tell me why I am forced to listen to inbred wierdos with headsets making strange noises (could perhaps be some crude attempt at language) and ruining my games of COD4? Since I do not and never want to talk to other players online, I don't see why I should be forced to listen to others inane babble. Should it not be an option somewhere to block this interference from ruining your game experience, or am I just "crazy"?

I'm playing on PS3 by the way.

what?, you mean people are actually speaking on a PSN network game, lol

BTW hows this on Ps3, the online part, also hows the setup for online play and is it same number in room as 360

Its brilliant, myself and msmalls74 are playing it daily and have been since its release.

I normally play the smaller team based games which is 3 or 4 per team, I think Ground War is the allows up to 18 players.

You can start a party which myself and msmalls74 have done, so that we get on the same server together so its quite well implemented.

Sounds just the same as the Live implementation. Good stuff.

Do you get many people talking?

You do, it's much like RB6Vegas online, a lot of people do talk, infact I would say 80% of the players have mics and talk. You do still get the screaming Americans though, like you do on Live :(

Reminds me of an old CAD comic :)

*edited cos of swearies in link :(*

I know its not for the PS3 but still, i think the same applies lol

I don't know, I can't remember how to mute people :(

Was playing rocket races on halo 3 and my retard of a team mate who was some american kid, wouldn't believe that he was meant to be driving andthat I (as the VIP) couldn't drive. Kept hurling abuse so in the end I plugged in my mic and had a go at him. He left the game pretty quick and got some bad rep from me

You choose their profile and select mute. That will mute that player forever (or until you unmute them).

Ah OK. I was kinda hoping it was possible just to shut it off altogether. I love COD4 online, but all the whiney yanks get annoying, and the only way to shut them up is to plug the headset in but just dont wear it.

you should have an option to play against people from your own country as i find everyone racist bigmouths on live

To be honest most of the racism i hear on live is off brits. Yanks are to sensitive to say anything racist, and i cant understand german or any other language to tell what they are up to :p

you're not forced to listen to them at all. just mute them or turn your headset down.

Not crazy, but maybe a tad anti-social :)
