We have 6 machines on a basic network running XP.

One machine is so slow while accessing the shared network files and accessing the internet its all but unuseable.

All the others are fine and theres no waiting. This particular machine is impossible. I cannot for the life of me work out why. Its fine accessing its local files and performing local tasks its no issue. The network card setting are no different to the other machines and I've look for anything amiss that could be slowing it down.

My shot in the dark is the at the cable could be damaged in some way - could this cause the access times to increase? I've considered swapping 2 machines over to see if its the machine or the cable.

Any help appreciated :)
