Why PC gaming? Advantages over console?

Not saying I prefer console gaming just wondering why you prefer PC gaming or even why you prefer consoles. Thinking of buying a PC and I'm considering whether or not it's worth it

obviously consoles have their advantages too, but PC vastly outweighs them imo

Mods
Greater breadth and depth of games
Graphical Fidelity
Ability to upgrade more often than once every 10 years.

PC gaming is for affluent adults who don't like pixellated 800x600 graphics. Gentlemen who like to play mods and fiddle with game editors.

Consoles are for the unemployed drug dealers.

Well just the ability to choose whatever input method I want. Xbox controller, PS3 controller, steering wheels, joysticks etc etc

Get a PC, put a big TV next to it and buy a 360 controller. Best of both worlds.

games are a lot cheaper on the PC. Higher initial outlay on the hardware obviously, but that is probably outweighed by the price of games. They are cheaper on release, and then will benefit from much better sales. Also there are obviously a lot of non-gaming uses for a PC!
