About 4 weeks ago, I wanted to do a different approach to the whole "why so serious" thing that every Dark Knight and Joker fan would do - like drawing, face paint / make up e.t.c So I did a few snaps.

Finally got around to PP it today, as I'm bored and I can't sleep yet.

I would appreciate C&C please.

Taken with the Canon 55-250mm IS, 135mm, F5.0, 1/160s, ISO1600, Aperture Priority.

Can you post a version without the white border, its too distracting for me to comment on the picture itself.....

I don't get it tbh

Google / Search deviantART, Joker Batman Dark Knight, and you'll get tonnes of joker tributes for the film. I wanted a different take on it, instead of going for the make up, I went for a more simple - Joker Card, posed similarly to when Christian Bale was holding the I believe in Harvey Dent badge...

Much better without the border! His head doesn't look cut off anymore.

I quite like it, composition and DoF about right for me, the diaogal card works really well.

1 problem I have is the face on left hand side is over exposed and fades into the background. I would defintely try to avoid this so the subject is full outlined and viewable.

The next problem is maybe subjective. I think it would be better with the joker pointing the other way., to the top right. This would be more natural and have a more immediate impact. You can photoshop this easily

Thanks for the feedback D.P.
I personally thought the card being upside down works to the "why so serious" idea, when I was shooting, I didn't notice the card was upside down till I blew it up on screen - even then, I thought it's more "natural", otherwise, it looks too composed, you get what I mean?

I will note on the overexposed left hand side, I took this is my living room and the sole light source is from the left (funny enough), is it possible to work on that area without it looking too edited? My photoshop skills for that area is poor.

Edit: Here's a "I tried to do something about exposure" attempt. Bit poor tbh.

Feels like it's just been darken, that's all :/

If ypou have the RAW file I would look at that to see if the exposure information si there to begin with (play with the curves). If not, there is not much you can do apart from re-shoot under better lighting.

As I said about the joker, it is subjective
