Why this one?

I'm not computer savvy so I was just wondering why, everytime i see someone spec someone a comp they put in the blue ripjaw rather than the black one with faster timings?

cost, theres 3 ripjaws available (12800) c9, c8 and c7, theres a pound difference between first 2 but then another 6 pound to the black one, imo its worth paying a pound for improved cas but not 6, unless moneys not really object
In most spec me builds, people (me certainly) try to find balance of performance and cost
