Sadly guys saying it will cost 2k for the rust, so no deal. Its literally small, not on the wheel arch either, I will just repair it. Im sure it will be be sold soon.

Just tell him you will have it sorted and give him a date it would be ready by.

The guy clearly wasnt a serious buyer, he probably made an offer in haste then realised it was over the odds or that there was another car he'd seen - he was obviously using that as an excuse to pull out.

Rubbish? lol it depends on the car and this is one of them - I'm obviously referring to the mk5 gti here, not all cars...

no fundamental difference throughout the entire range 05 - 58, excluding edition 30s.

I've highlighted that there are cheaper (better specced) alternatives albeit older and this is possibly why its taking 'longer' to sell. Spec also contributes to the value of a car, quite substantially too as I suspect you'd know.
