Why wont my car sell?

Hate that line along with first to see will buy.

Helped a friend pick up an old Focus last year, the ad for the car we were viewing said that, so, I asked how many had looked at it and he said two, so I used the fact they clearly hadn't bought it as justification for our low bid which eventually he accepted.

The guy clearly wasnt a serious buyer, he probably made an offer in haste then realised it was over the odds or that there was another car he'd seen - he was obviously using that as an excuse to pull out.

Rubbish - age and mileage *DIRECTLY* dictate the value of a car.

Sure, buyers might prefer to save money by buying an older one if the newer ones are the same, but you cant use it to say that OPs is overpriced

Rubbish? lol it depends on the car and this is one of them - I'm obviously referring to the mk5 gti here, not all cars...

no fundamental difference throughout the entire range 05 - 58, excluding edition 30s.

I've highlighted that there are cheaper (better specced) alternatives albeit older and this is possibly why its taking 'longer' to sell. Spec also contributes to the value of a car, quite substantially too as I suspect you'd know.
