Why won't Xbox x not change to 4k on Monitor

Hi

I have a ASUS PB287QV monitor 4k
I am trying to change my output on the xbox x to 4k and it will not change, only going up to 1440.

This monitor does have a displayport and I'm using Hdmi, will I need a lead for 4k?

I'm completely lost here

Probably because your monitor only supports HDMI 1.4. Not straightght forward getting a HDMI 2.0/2.1 to Display Port converter, your easiest option would be to upgrade your monitor to something that supports HDMI 2.0 as a minimum.

That monitor will only do 4k 60hz over DP port and 4K 30hz over HDMI.

So you can either try some type of converter cable which may or may not work or just change to a newer monitor/tv or just stick with 1440p.

No console games run at native 4k so you got nothing to worry about.
