...suddenly just stop detecting my tv through it's s-video connection?

It worked fine for almost 2 years, then suddenly it was no longer detected,

Tried forcing detection, various drivers both old and current, and still it just wont see my telly :(

26" CRT is better for watching movies on than a 19" TFT, stupid X1800XT

Could be a sign that your gfx card is on its way to gfx card heaven.

Do you have any tools to measure if you still have any signals going out of your tv our port?

What kind of tools could do that?

Cable is attached, I've checked a number of times, and it stopped working just randomly after no driver changes.

Have just bought a cheap S-video cable to test with, in case my current one borked.

Thanks guys

*crosses fingers that gfx isn't dying*

Checked to ensure your s-video on the telly isnt duffer?

I've got a scart converter, and tried it in both scart ports, no luck, but my ps2 works in both.

This is why I'm hoping it's the cable
