why would oc affect my internet connection?

hi guys,please can you help me, i ocd my rig 4000+ to 2.7ghz using 1.575v
on a abit fatalit sli, got 2 1gb sticks of corsair @ 3-4-4-8, all super pi and 12 hour prime stable but when i play bf2 online i get loss in connection every 3-4 mins for 10secs or so, back to std speeds and it runs perfect, do i need to alter nforce chipset voltage or something else in bios or is it just not gonna run at 2.7 efficently..
oc is 225x12
ps net comes in via ethernet from router...

i had a similar problem where by, when i can run my cpu at 255x11 (2.8ghz) and alls well, but as soon as i switch to 280x10 my wireless card won't connect :confused:

I cant connect to the net when my 6800 GT is clocked at stock. Clocked at Ultra everything's fine. Kind of strange I think. I connect using a belkin

The PCI bus speeds are linked to the FSB speed - so it might just be that your ethernet cards don't like being over-clocked.

Depends on the motherboard/bios settings at a guess. I just remember having an ethernet card that didn't like me overclocking a rig I had a few years ago - an Asus P4S533 board I think it was.
