Why would you do that? I hate these 'replica' conversions with a passion, but at least people normally try to recreate something exotic, but a bloody BMW Z3.....

The MX5 is a great car as it is. Why? WHY? WHY????????

I guess at the time it was made, Z3's were still in excess of £10k, and MX-5's could be had for under £5k over in the states. Which would make it cheaper than actually buying a Z3... and tbh - that would pass off as a BMW Z3 to most people.

Although why you'd want to turn your highly acclaimed roadster into one that was considered mediocre at best is beyond me.

I do however love that steering wheel :D

Hahaha that is comical. I love the massive BMW roundel on the steering wheel!

"Its a BMW mate... honest!"

at first i was like whats wrong then scrolled down, oh dear what monstrosity! why ruin such a great car as an mx5 by making it look hideous + probably ruin its fantastic handling!

What got me was the questions to the seller.. these people actually want to buy the thing lol

got to love america lol

That must be a really rare car over in the US of A... or something. See them all the time here. Just another car on the road. There must be a reason for it and a reason for it having 16 bids?

Saw this in a custom car type mag years ago, was quite funny :)

And yeah at the time Z3s were still pretty new and pricey, hence it was a cheaper way to "get" one. Although they used genuine lights iirc which weren't exactly cheap.
