why ?

EOL and very limited stock.

Prices go a bit strange when this happens, have a look around, places selling this at £700!!

Dont think they had any stock though!

didnt they get some stock of 280s a couple weeks back from eVGA that were only selling for £150 iirc.

Some things in the B Grade section gets priced far too high, I remember seeing a X58 UD5 in the Clearance Lines that was more expensive than the brand new retail versions...

It was £209 when the non B Grade ones were only £199 or thereabouts.
 
Prices in the b grade stuff don't get checked much. Some very good kit sits there for months simply because it's so horribly overpriced. Still, some real bargains to be had on occasion :)
