Whys is this bundle so cheep?

Thinking of buying a new set and I'm looking at this:

But why is it so cheap if its the latest tech? Is that a really cheap motherboard?

Also will I need a new Haswell compatible psu? I have an old Tagan TG580-U15 580W Easycon Modular ATX PSU from around 2007. Its never let me down and I don't see the need to replace this high quality psu if I don't need t.

Seems ok to me to be honest.

You don't need a Haswell compatible PSU as you can change certain certains in BIOS regarding power.

Try finding the parts which make up the bundle on OcUK and you will see why.

But its a nice bundle. Especially with the pre-applied OC.

Whether it's cheap or not depends on what you consider to be cheap for a motherboard.

You need either a midi or full tower case which will accept an ATX motherboard. It won't fit in a micro-ATX case.

We tested a wide range of motherboards prior to the Haswell launch and I personally was testing at 4.8GHz prime stable with a decent 4770K on this board, admittedly with a higher cost cooler.

The board was selected because it hits a sweet spot of price, performance and features. We have slightly cheaper and slightly more expensive offerings based on the boards that also stood out.

I think it's a good deal ....and I will be looking to go Intel for the next time I do a build
