Wi-Fi router with the best range/coverage

I know that there probably isn’t a correct answer for this as I appreciate that it all depends on the house, structure etc

In my house in India I have a TP Link VR900 ac1900 router which works fine but the coverage upstairs in the bedrooms is a bit roped, works but is slow.

Adding a wired repeater is a no no as there’s just no way to run a cable to connect them together so I am wondering if a modern router might improve the signal coverage.

I’ve been googling but haven’t really come up with anything but currently the existing router has 3 aerials so my small brained thinking is if I get one with 4 or more it might be better

Thanks for the suggestions, thankfully the router is quite central within the house and sat on a unit. I had thought about raising it up, might give that a try.

In terms of searching, I did look back at the last 3 pages of threads and read a few.
