Hi all,
The wi-fi reception appears to be getting increasingly bad on my 2009 iMac 21.5" - or at least it seems that way...
Often, I'll be able to see my network, but the connection will keep timing out when I try to connect. Often a router reboot will get things working again. I'll notice similar behaviour on my iP4 also - which makes me think its the router itself to blame.
Its a standard Sky router using wireless g iirc. My house is a new build so the walls shouldn't be blocking signal particularly. Am I likely to see a significant wi-fi stability increase if I were to upgrade to a wireless N router? There are so many Sky wi-fi networks in my area, and although I often change the outbound channel on the router, I think there must be a fair amount of interference across the standard frequency ranges.
The other option would be ethernet over power adapters, which probably seem like the best idea right now.
Cheers,
Grant
