I recently bought a Panasonic FZ30 - and I'm pretty pleased with it.
I've seen that you can buy wide angle and tele convertors for this model from ebay for aprox £30, most do x0.45 conversion on the wide angle side.
Does any one have any experience with these - are they to be avoided, they are considerably cheaper than the panasonic branded ones, from panasonic directly they are £180.
Is the concept a reasonable one, or is the idea of just placing a convertor over the lens not very good?
The camera itself can be set to use 0.7x or 1.7x convertors - would using 0.45x complete confuse the camera?
