I'll try keep this simple 
I've got a choice between a Canon 10-22mm EF-S and a Sigma 10-20mm; now, all things being same I'd definitely go for the Canon but the situation is instead as follows:
Canon: used for circa 3 years, 11 months left on guarantee, €450, I'll see the lens before I buy but I don't know the guy. Guarantee can be redeemed from Malta if required (I live here so that's ok)
Sigma: new, buying from Italy via the bay, €430, 2years guarantee but I'd have to go to Sigma directly and not through Malta
What would you recommend? Camera body is a 450D but I am looking for an upgrade eventually. Still I won't be going to a non crop body just yet (or ever).
