Widest lens I have is the short end of my 24-105 f4 on my Canon 5d3. I quite miss having the use of my EF-S 10-22 which I used on my 20d so recently been hankering after something a bit wider. It's been a while since I've looked at lenses so just wondering what my options are.
I'd originally thought of the Canon 17-40 f4 but then thought I may as well go one a bit further and consider the 16-35 f4 IS, neither particularly fast but the 2.8 would be out of budget, then there's the larger filter size to consider as I already have a few 77mm filters which I use with the 24-105.
I also want to look at the Tamron 15-30 f2.8 which really seems to fit the bill, the only thing bugging me is that it doesn't have filter threads and I do like messing about with my ND filter from time to time, is there some way I can get round this? Think there was a Tokina wide angle as well that didn't have filter threads which was also f2.8.
Anything else to consider out there, think it might be down to the Canon 16-35 f4 IS or the Tamron 15-30 f2.8. Any thoughts, ideas always appreciated.
