I have had this working a few months back but now it doesn't seem to do it :/

I'm using the bioshockfov hack v1.1
I load the hack up first, set it to 0.833 and then load bioshock up from steam.

The fov does not change at all now, i have tried enabling it * and disabling / nothing seems to happen for me.

I could be forgetting to do something though...

Any help is appreciated.
 
found v1.2 of the hack, works wonders.

I read that the patch is almost here for the fix, 3 months later...

AndyOcUK: Im running at 1680x1050, the game does not give you the correct FOV for that rez.
You need to run the above hack so the field of view is the way it should be, otherwise the game feels as though its zoomed in too close.

both sliders set to 0.834 and use the / & * keys to turn off and on, you will see the difference then :)
