Widescreen format?

It shows 1280X1024 as widescreen, forgive me if I am wrong, and it is a most likely probablility, but I thought 1280X1024 wasn't widescreen, surely that's a 4:3 format?

If it's 5:4, is it out of proportion on 4:3 17 and 19 inch monitors?

17" and 19" LCDs are also 5:4. 1280*1024 is out of proportion on, for instance, a 19" CRT (those are 4:3). 20" LCDs are 4:3 though. Confusing eh?

5:4 is proportionally less wide than 4:3, not sure where they got that idea from.

but why do you have to go to another page to chose the resolution of the wallpaper, after you're already looking at the selected image from the gallery.
