Widescreen or not widescreen. What way should you go when choosing a monitor. Is widescreen restricted for viewing movies generally, or is this a better choice generally?

Looks like i'll have to save for a few extra weeks to go for a 20"+ monitor. Currently on a 17", does that extra 3" make much difference, I can see maybe a 23"/24" would make a big difference but 3" doesn't seem like much.

42" Plasma spec. What would this be like as a tv/monitor. I don't understand any of these things i assume it would be good Tv picture, but how good would the display be when plugged into my pc. For games films e.t.c.

So basicallly a large screen suitable for using both as a tv amd a monitor will cost my house. Will look for 20"+ widescreen then. Just bought all me other parts so going to have to save for a while. :( Can't wait. Might have to go compet just so I can buy now pay later.
