Widescreen resolutions

Hi all,

Is there away to sneakily enable some widescreen resolutions? Basically I am hooking my laptop up to my widescreen sony tv (crt old school type). The tv is reporting back 800x600 and 1024x768 which both work nicely, but i wouldnt mind running it in a widescreen res between these.

Do able, or not?

So you want black strips top and bottom? Seems a bit stupid and pointless to me.

If your graphics card can do it and your TV can display it try Force Resolution.
