I'm investing in a new machine over the next few weeks or so and I want to replace my 19" LG monitor too.

I've decided that i would like to have an all in one monitor that I would be able to plug by Nintendo Wii into, as well as being a good performer as i'm a regular gamer. The plan is to use the monitor (22" preferred) to plug the wii in and also use it as a TV as well as gaming

How good does a wii look when plugged into a component port on the monitor? worth having or will it be best to forget about plugging the pc in?

I dont want to spend loads of the monitors, but a few hundred quid is fine. Please help!

I use a 22" belinea at home that was bought from OCUK on Gibbo recommendation. I really can't complain! Truly excellent performance and no ghosting as far as i can tell! However it only has a single vga input rather than that and a dvi.

I also have a 22" IIyama at work - identical in pretty much every way apart from it having a dvi socket to complement its vga one! I would say that it's image is just as good but isn't quite as bright and consequently contrast is effected!

I have a VGA cable for my 360 coming so i'll let you know how that looks as well! :)

Afaik very few PC monitors sold in the UK have a component input - just VGA and DVI mostly. The US version of the NEC GWX2 (?) has component inputs but not the UK version. You can feed an XBOX 360 directlty into the VGA input if you get the right cable, and it looks great, but the Wii doen't have HD support (again AFAIK) so you cannot do that. You would be best off on your requirements with a decent small LCD TV. One which includes a VGA input can be also used as a monitor, though not as good as a dedicated PC monitor of course - your resolution would be 1360*768.

It'll be a big shame if I cant get a monitor that will have an input for the wii - i know its not as hi-tech as the xbox's outputs - but surely there is a monitor somewhere with component input

Most of the Dell ones have component inputs. And composite. :)
