I have finally ordered my camera..

I went for a Canon A620 @ £195ic N.D.Del

Now I have been offered by a friend who had this camera (his got nicked) a converter and a Wide lens? Now what does it do? Also he said you can get a teleconverter?

He did try explianing but didnt really have a clue! :rolleyes:

So what do they do also is this a good price if they are any good/useful;

Canon Lens Adapter - £10 (w/ £20 No competitors, Big Kev Reciept)
0.7 Wide lens - £80 (No Reciept)

Wide angle lens allows you to fit more in to the shot. Good for group photos, landscapes etc.

Tele-convertor adds zoom at 1.75x so your 4x optical zoom becomes 7x.

Try typing in "Canon A620 lens" into a well known fleabay auction site and look at the results. £100 would go a long way too!

OCuK don't seem to sell additional lenses.

Your camera handbook should show you the additional items including lenses that you can fit on to your camera.

Yes your're right but

If my Canon A70 hand book is anything to go by the converter in this case is not a x (times) converter but a tube (called a conversion lens adapter) which is used as a medium between the camera and the lens, I think the same "converter" can be used for both wide angle and telephoto lenses. Most of the lenses for the A70 on fleabay (from HK) come with a conversion adapter, whereas in UK they are often sold separately.

Hope that helps the Opening Post?

Cheers, well the tunnel/convertor seems about the right price and the lense is £100 in No competitors, Big Kev.. hae to have a go to see if its worth it..
