WiDi 2-in-1 tablet/laptop

As the title says does anything exist anymore or has WiDi been dumbed down now?

Windows 8.1 miracast kind of incorporates/replaces WiDi.

Perhaps ask in the Linx tablet owners thread if anybody has Miracast working.

I have used Widi on the intel based windows 8 tablets like the miix 8. It works very well but the only issue is that it has to have a dongle plugged into the TV whereas something like Miracast is often supported by most modern tvs.
